McCrae Carroll, M.A., LPC-A
McCrae was born and raised in the small rural area of Barnwell, SC and moved to Charleston, SC where he received a Bachelor’s in Psychology at Charleston Southern University. He then went on to received his Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from the Citadel Graduate College. McCrae developed a passion for helping others and learned the power of empathy and compassion. During this time, McCrae worked for multiple years gaining experience working with moderate to severe mental health disorders in the Institute of Psychiatry at MUSC as a therapeutic assistant. He also worked as an Addiction Counselor working with those struggling with substance use, trauma, depression, and anxiety. McCrae is now Level 1 trained in Gottman Method of Couples Counseling. When McCrae is not working, he loves to spend time with his pets, play music, visit different restaurants, and go fishing.
